This match, the 3rd match in the Cup Pool stage, was never going to be our toughest test, and so it turned out, as we raced to a 7 nil lead. At which point the allowances and adjustments started, to try and make it a more even contest.
Those adjustments allowed us to really work on our game. We saw a rotation of player positions, we saw us move the ball around and stopped being so direct and in the 4th quarter as we continued to dominate the scoreline the goals got more and more attractive.
The calls from the referees, largely the right calls, saw quite a number of penalties, all part of the learning curve.
And so, we top our Pool, which will give us home advantage in the semi-final. The sharp-end of the cup is getting real.
