A 5-12 victory was the outcome, it could have been more, it should have been more, but it was convincing. Taking a 5 goal advantage into the 2nd quarter, the tone of the match was set. Mellor just too good in almost all areas of the pitch. It was another opportunity to give the younger lads some much needed match time, most of them took it in some way shape or form, bottom line, minutes on the pitch is valuable.

It's these matches that allow for the coaching team to work with the players and the team on set plays, when we go either a man-up or a man-down, it's these matches that will make us better prepared for tougher opposition.

Two players deserve a shout out from today's match, at the back, Tom ran the show, the Cheadle Hulme front line were blunted by Tom time and time again. In attack, Oscar did what his coaches asked, moved his feet, move into scoring positions and bagged 6 goals, a result of his hard work.

Goal scorers today: Oscar x6; JB x 2; Arthur x1; Oliver x1; Riley x1; Harry H x1
