Mellor U18s showed great team spirit today, turning the game around to win against a strong Stockport side. At 3-4 to Stockport after the first quarter, it looked like it would be closely contested game and it was. Stockport ramped up the pace in the second quarter and were 4 goals up at half time: 4-8 to Stockport. Not giving up, Mellor got their heads straight and came back a different team after half time- managing to equalise with Stockport 9-9 by the third quarter. In the final quarter Mellor pushed hard, working well together to score a further 4 goals and only allowing Stockport to score 2. Final score 11-13 to Mellor. An excellent win for Mellor U18s- with great team goals and awesome saves, keeping us in the game, from our fantastic goalie, Ellen Conroy. Thanks to Stockport for hosting- great game!
